Getting in Shape

I have been inspired to get into shape and loose some weight. Not only because Mis and the kids always comment on it, but now co-workers and neighbors. Which is good. So I am publicly telling everyone so that my goal is set. Not a wish, but a goal.

My wife will love me!!!!! It is my ten year plan. Maybe I can find a costume like Alex that has built in muscles. Get a girdle to squeeze in the fat though. Wish me luck!!!!!!!

WE MISS OUR TREE!

This last year we had a tragedy happen on our street. Everyones favorite tree finally got pushed to far. So many neighborhood kids had climbed, swung, beat, played tag in, and more with the corkscrew willow. But a strong wind in September, I believe, split it in two.

It was a very sad day. It was our shade, landmark, prided and joy because it was one of the most tallest and fullest tree around. Who needs a toy when there are games to play around the tree.
Many family and friends still comment.

Today spring was definitely in the air. It was great to come home from work and see all of the kids playing outside. Mis and Amanda Hatch were on the porch basking in the sun chatting away. We will definitely miss our favorite tree this year in the hot sun.

Sleeping at the neighbors

This is too cool. I am excited to post most embarassing moments of our family. Such as Alex sleeping on his friend Tyler's couch. We sure appreciate good neighbors. We would do the same. Let me think??? Oh, we have. She slept in our front room snuggled up to "Bruno" our big stuffed animal. We will never let her live that one down. Here are a few of Alex. He is so cute sleeping. No further comment is needed :)

Misti's Medical Report

This is entered by her loving husband. I don't have the available memory on this site to list all of her injuries and/or medical bills, but she has had many. She has more scars than frankenstein. :)

The many drugs and surgeries have addled (sp?) her brain. As you can see, she gets very tired from dressing our youngest son, Alex.

Mis loves volleyball and can't wait to get back in the swing of things. She had rotater-cuff surgery in January. The docs say that in 4 months she will be back to playing. She is hoping for some "bionic technology" was implanted.

Since I am the first of the family to enter stuff on our site. I will take the opportunity to show off some of my woodworking pictures. This is a bunk bed for my sister Polly. Her two sons Brody and Avry will sleep on it. Their bedroom has a low ceiling, so it isn't very tall. It is made out of Maple. A very hard wood. This should last a long time. But you never know with boys :)
This is my nap after working on it one day. It gets cold in the garage. Lonely too, but let's not go there. haha. I have a radio to keep me company.

My sis-in-law in Colorado found a planter/stand out of a "Magazine of Barns" that she liked. It was apart of the "room" not for sale. She wanted it, so I accepted the challange. It was fun.

I have enjoyed making some wands for family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. They are fun. I have sold some at Kirkpatrick Drug and at Snow Springs Elementary at their book fair. Not to mention selling some to co-workers.

A couple of summers ago I made this organizer (for paper, homework, etc???) & easel for Lezlee Gallegos for her new classroom/school. The heads you see belong to Lezlee (top) and Haley (bottom).
The banister, below, was quite the adventure. Kathy Robins asked me to replace her old banister with a new one. She gave me a picture and I slowly but surely made it. Val, my father-in-law helped me install it. I was nervous on how it would all work out. Lucky for everyone (me especially), there was a crawl space below and I was able to lag bolt it to a joice. It worked out perfect. This is me sanding down the square oakrails. The Newel post is made of plywood, pine, and MDF. The ball is from Alder. I got the top rail, bottom rail, and oak pieces from Jeff Ackley in our ward. Kathy did a great job finishing it!

Today is the first day on this blog site. I am so excited to tell our friends and family about what we are up to. They can read and view pics of our life. Mainly because currently we either don't communicate often or it is via email jokes. Which is totally fine, because I love them.
