Mis is off to a ward conference this morning (she is in the stake primary presidency), the kids are watching an old recording of a Jazz game and making a fort out of blankets, so I thought I would take a moment and share our weekend experience.
Yesterday we had a spectacular day. We went to Hailey Funk and Jesse Fieldsted's wedding. It was awesome!!! They were married for all time and eternity in the Logan Temple. This is where Mis and I were married. The ceremony was very nice and Hailey, as usual, looked beautiful. We then went to the Cobble Mill restuarant for the wedding breakfast/reception. They decided not to have a "regular" reception. I think it is a good idea. We joked around as we were waiting for everyone in the temple, by the stairs that led down to the cafeteria, that when our kids get married to simply get sealed, send everyone downstairs for the wedding breakfast, and send them on their way :)They had put together a wedding video with an interview of Jesse, Hailey, and clips of movies. It was fantabulous! Tear jerker too. She is the first grandchild of Mis's siblings. I really could spend pages on how great an evening it was with the Robins & Fieldsted families. Jesse, even though we don't know him very well, is a good man and he is very lucky to be with a very special woman.
Chase and Jenessa (not sure on how to spell her name, sorry Mrs. Funk if it is wrong) were there. As of today it has been 7 months since they were sealed in the Logan Temple as well. They are still very much in love. Grandma and Grandpa Uhrich were there. Beautiful and handsome as ever. Cody (Haileys brother serving a mission) has now missed two wonderful weddings of his siblings. More room and food for him when he returns :)
